Preventative Maintenance
Absolutely avoid using all-purpose cleaners. Matting should be kept clean and be large enough ideally to allow two steps across it to prevent dirt and grit being taken on to the floor. Protectors should be used on chair legs and under other heavy furniture such as pianos to prevent marking the surface. Dry Cleaning: Floors should be cleaned daily using dry cleaning methods, such as vacuum (not uprights), scissor mop or soft broom. It is important to remove any abrasive particles of grit and dirt which may scratch the surface when trafficked under footwear, chair legs, and other items moved across the floor. Always try a small sample area on your wooden floors before using any products to ensure you are happy with drying times and finishes..

REVIVE
Bona Wood Floor Polish is a ready-to-use waterborne maintenance coating for varnished wood floors. It restores the shine while offering continued protection against wear. Important! Always test floors for adhesion and desired results prior to use. Do not use on waxed or oiled floors. Ensure normal room climate 18-25°C. FLOORBOARD SANDING
When its comes to repairing your floorboards it is best to keep as much of the existing floor as possible, getting a good colour match on the existing wood can be a challenge due to the age, species and country of origin. We always aim to repair floors with reclaimed wood of the same species. It's important to use reclaimed wood when it comes to repairs as new wood can look extremely different due to changes in moisture content, cell structure and chemical composition as time goes on, which can significantly change the appearance.
